THE LEGEND OF TLOGO VILLAGE

Folklore is the traditional beliefs, practices, customs, stories, jokes, songs (etc.) of a people, handed down orally or behaviorally from individual to individual. Especially I want to concern about the legend of tlogo village. Legend is a story from the past that may or may not be true. Tlogo village is located in Prambanan, Klaten, Central Java. According to me, the story of tlogo village is interesting. So, here we go to The Legend of Tlogo Village.

Long Time ago, there was umbul (in Javanese language) or water that appeared partially from the ground. The water could not be stopped, and then it would be a pool. After that the water still could not be stopped. It made the area surrounding became a lake. The society was afraid if the water still be appeared, maybe the area would be a sea. So, all of them tried to cover the water up with every ways. But they were failed. One of them has suggest if they wanted to close the water, they should swam in to under the water, and then took a chunk of a tree to cover the hole that was became a source where the water was appear. Nobody felt brave to swim. One day, there was someone who felt brave to swim under the lake. Actually, he was success to swim and cover it. Finally, the society named that area Tlogo Banyu, because there was many water inside the lake. Banyu is the Javanese language, it means water. Than Tlogo from the word ‘telaga’ means lake. The society also named their village Tlogo Banyu Village, because there was tlogo or lake inside their village.
After the society named that area as Tlogo Banyu, several days later there was a farmer who wanted to catch fishes. While he spread out the dragnet, suddenly he saw a kind of freshwater catfish, but it’s shaped like a skeleton. The farmer was shocked when he saw it, because he never met a fish like that. He told to everybody if he saw a strange fish when he wanted to catch fishes in Tlogo Banyu. He felt proud because only he who could see that fish. And then, while he was sleeping, the fish’s skeleton come to his room and knock his door. He was very surprised, because that fish’s skeleton could speaking.
The fish’s skeleton said “Why you did not ask permission while you wanted to catch fishes in Tlogo Banyu? And then, why did you tell to everyone if you found me in the Tlogo Banyu?”
And then the farmer replied, “I did not know if I should be asking a permission while I was catching fishes in the Tlogo Banyu, and then I just felt proud because only I who could see you. I was the first person who found you in the Tlogo Banyu”.
The fish’s skeleton was angry and said, “You did not ask permission before. You were an impolite person. You should not be talk to everyone while you could see me. I did not like your attitude. I swore if one day you will be suffering.”
After that the fish’s skeleton was disappear. The farmer did not pay attention to the fish’s skeleton said. He just considered it as a daydreaming. The farmer did his daily activities like usually. He did not realize if the disaster would be coming to his life. Firstly, while he walked to the farm suddenly he was stumbled by the rock, so that he fell in down in the ground. Secondly, while he came back to his house he found that his money gone away. He still did not realize that both are the disaster which was sworn by the fish’s skeleton. Thirdly, his son suddenly got a strange illness. All of the indigenous medical practitioner could not cure his son. Day by day his son’s illness became more serious. His body more and more became thin; the skeleton can be seen outside his skin. The farmer was realizing that all of the disaster that come to him is came from the fish’s skeleton. Finally, his son was dead because the illness was already gnawing on his son’s body.
On the other hand, One day there was a child who played near by the lake. He was alone while played in the near by the lake. He did not realize if the night was coming. He still enjoyed play by his-self there. Suddenly the big woman with a big breast came to him; she called ‘wewe gombel’. The child immediately was carrying by the wewe gombel. And then the next morning one of the families was shocked because their son did not come to his home last night. The mother told to the head village. And then the head village asked to his society to find the boy around the tlogo banyu village. After that, one of the society founds a slipper. He told to the head village, and then the mother knew if that slipper was her son’s slipper. The head village told to all of his society if there would be a meeting in the head village’s house. After that, the head village told if the boy was carried by the wewe gombel, because the slipper that was found under the big tree. The other people also agree with the head village’s said, because only wewe gombel that live at the big tree.
The Tlogo Banyu has a magic strength. If the people did everything there without asked permission, they would be suffering and also get a disaster like that farmer, because there was also fish’s skeleton who lived under the water. Or they would be disappearing carried by wewe gombel or the other ghosts. Because there were many ghost who lived in the big trees.



THE RELEVANCE OF THE TLOGO BANYU TO THE SOCIETY

Recently, the society of Tlogo Banyu Village is already not believed of that magic strength there. Now, there is no lake in the Tlogo Banyu Village. The lake became smaller and smaller because the water is decreasing. It’s because there is no rain along the year. It’s make the lake disappear, and now the lake just like a pool without any water. And then that pool is growing by the grassy field. We can not see the lake anymore, but if the rain is coming, the pool will be filling up the water. Because of that, the society changed their village’s name in to Tlogo Village.
Ago, the surrounding of the lake area consist of many big trees. At that time, the society consider if all of the big trees were lived by the ghosts. If there was a person who wanted to catch the fish, so he or she should be asked permission first to the fish’s skeleton who lived under the water of Tlogo Banyu or the ghosts who were lived in the big trees. If he or she did not ask permission, so that the person would get a disaster, but if the person was already asked permission, so that the person would catch many fishes.
On the other hand, the society in this era does not believe of that story again, because the big trees are already cutting down, so that there are not many big trees. And then the Tlogo Banyu also has not many fishes again, because the pool has not contains water again. But if the rain is coming, usually the society will be filling the pool with the fishes.
The society in the past time consider if they should be asking permission first to the ghosts who lived in that area, it’s because they wanted to teach us in order to be a polite person, we have to get permission if we want to do something in the other person’s place.



CONCLUSION

That’s all about the legend of tlogo village. I am one of the Tlogo Village society is proud to my village, because my village has a legend that other places maybe do not have it. We are should be proud to the folklore that our area has. We also should be take care and keep that folklore, so that it would be extinct, and then we can send it down to the next generation.

the last semester my GPA was 3,48 .. it was not cumlaude :'(
but in this semester my GPA is 3.65 .. it means that I can reach a "cumlaude" , woww I still can't believe it, because I think in this semester my GPA will be decreasing, because I felt that most of the courses were difficult.. at that time I was desperate.. I just realized that I was a stupid girl who didn't know anything n felt very stupid among my friiends.. I admit if most of my friends are smart,, mmm,, smarter than me,,
but in this semester I can proof that I can be like them, lol..

THANKS JESUS for all of YOUR MIRACLE!!!!!


I hope next semester will be better than this semester,,

finally..

hufffttttttt.. finally, my final exam is already finish..

Thanks God.. I was already pass it.. although I know if my GPA in this semester will be decreasing.. I thought that this 3rd semester all of the subject were difficult.. I couldn't follow it well :'(

but, I'll be waiting for your miracle that come to me, so that I still get more than 3,33 .. I will be praying for it..
I don't wanna make my mommy and my daddy disappoint.. I wanna see them smile while I am asking them about my GPA in this semester..

LIBERA tuh kereeenn banget,, personilnya cowok smua, umurnya 7 taun sampe 15 taun,,,
mereka smua di UK alias United of Kingdom, di Inggris sanaaaa,,

huaaaaaa,, pertama kali dengerin mp3 LIBERA yg judulnya SANCTUS tu bener2 bikin bulu kudukku merinding,, 1 hari tu aku bisa dengerin sampe 50x lebih deh,,, gag bosen2nya ku dengerin swara mereka.. swara mereka bening banget, kayak angels yg lagi nyanyi gitu dehh,,
mereka tu CHOIR pertama yg menurutku AWESOME n WONDERFUL banget dehh..

next, ku jatuh hati banget sama soloisnya namanya THOMAS CULLY atau sering dipanggil TOM CULLY.. he's so wonderful.. he's CHARMING.. he's awesome.. apalagi pas nyanyi solo di lagu YOU WERE THERE.. nahh dari lagu you were there ini aku langsung jatuh cintaa sama Tom, sama swaranya n wajahnya yang ganteng banget (untuk anak seusianya), oya saat ini kalo gag salah Tom 15taun, ahhahhaha beda 4 taun sama aku lah,, hehhehhehe...
setiap ku denger swaranya Tom (di lagu you were there) tu entah kenapa pengen nangis, coz swaranya menrenyuhkan batinku.. bikin ku merinding.. bikin ku mupeng, hehhehe,, mupeng pengen ketemu Tom maksudnya, hehehhe..

Tom is my 2nd fav singer after Mark 'westlife' feehily..
duluu pas SD (sampe sekarang) aku ngefans berat sama WESTLIFE, especially sama MARK FEEHILY.. dulu (sampe sekarang) aku bener2 kesengsem beratlah sama mark, walopun the society considering if mark is gay, tapi menurutku yg penting mark tu ganteng n swaranya baguuss banget,,,

nahh tom tu juga ganteng n swaranya baguusss bangettt,,,

tom n mark hampir sama lahh,,, they're the best lahh,, hihihihhii,,,

yaaa smoga aja aku bisa ketemu Tom (someday), entah itu hanya dalam mimpi atau beneran,,

Christmas Concert in Banyuwangi, East Java

besok berangkat ke banyuwangi naek bis (kayaknya), huffttt,, perjalanan yang amat sangat panjang, lebih lama dari jogja-jakarta,,, lebih dari 10 jam yg jelas,, yakampund,, smogaa aku betah dehh duduk berlama2 gitu,,
ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,,,
smoga konsernya sukses,,
smoga jemaatnya terberkati oleh smua pujian yang kami bawain,,
smoga smuanya berjalan seperti planning sebelomnya,,
smoga kami bisa bernanyi dengan hati kami,,

udah nggak sabar pengen melewati natal taun ini dengan penuh sukacita, walopun aku tau kalo sebenernya sukacita natal taun ini nggak bisa sePENUH taun2 kemaren because of something lah,,

taun-taun kemaren aku masih sempet ngerayain natal sama keluargaku,, sama ibuk, bapak n adek2ku,,
tapi taun ini sepertinya aku harus ngerayain natal TANPA KELUARGA DISAMPINGKU,,, yaaa TANPA MEREKA..
akuu pasti akan sangat sedih,,,
nggak bisa ke gereja bareng ibuk n adek2ku..

inilah realita yang ada..

aku emang harus berjiwa profesionalisme...

tuntutan profesi nih,,

seperti yang udah aku bilang di notes ku sebelum ini kalo natal taun ini aku konser natal sama Vocalista Angels Choir di Banyuwangi n Jakarta..

smogaaaa Damai Natal taun ini bisa membuat smua umat di Bumi ini merasakannya..

smoga dengan puji-pujian yang terlantun dari bibir-bibir teman-temanku dan aku (tentunya)bisa bikin smua orang takjub dan semakin menyadari bahwa nyanyianpun bisa membuat hati mereka yang mendengarkan damai dan tenteram seperti berada di surgaaa sanaaaa,, hehehhehhee,,,

Vogelz a.k.a Vocalista Angels Choir rencananya mau konser natal di banyuwangi, trus lanjut konser natal di plaza Indonesia, Jakarta.. habis itu konser natal nasional sama pak presiden SBY di Senayan..

yeahh,,, it will be a busy month..

tapi aku suka kok,, disana pasti akan bertemu dengan orang2 baru.. banyak temen,, banyak pengalaman nii,, ahaaaaaaa,,,

emmm,, tapi aku nggak bisa ngrayain NATAL di rumah bareng keluarga,,
beberapa taun terakhir ini setiap menjelang natal Vogelz pasti kebanjiran job dan itu mengharuskanku merelakan nggak natalan di rumah,, hufftt,, tak apalah, selagi aku masih diberi kesempatan sama Tuhan Yesus untuk memberkati orang2 di luar sana dengan nyanyian yang ku senandungkan, why not?

goes to Bandung part 2

hufttt,, akhirnya saia sampe kota bandung juga (setelah melewati berbagai macam jalan2 berliku yang sangat terjal) hihhihihii,,

olraaaiiitt,, let me to tell u about my experiences in Bandung,,

pas sampe Bandung rombongan PSM UGM nginep di Wisma Bina Marga Jl. Riau.. ternyata 1 penginapan sama PSM UKDW n PSM Atma Jaya..

eniwei, lomba hari pertama (semi final) terasa begitu menegangkan buatku (dan mungkin buat temen2 seperjuanganku juga),,
ternyata lawannya keren2 euy,, kostumnya juga oke2,, suaranya juga sippphh n mantap banget pokoke,,
wiiiyyy,, saat itu aku agag ngrasa minder, coz menurutku PSM UGM ki lom mateng banget je olah vokalnya,, huffttt,, saat itu aku cuma nyerahin smuanya ke Tuhan Yesus aja,, apa yg terjafi, terjadilah menurut kehendakNYA,,

setelah selese lomba, sorenya tanpa di duga2,, aku sakit,, yaaaaa,, aku masuk angin ternyata,, alhasil temen2 saia (delly dan ita) mijitin n kerokin saia,,
saia pun hanya bisa terbaring pasrah di ranjang,, hihhiihiii,, lemes banget je,,
huffttt,,, ternyata setelah itu ada berita mengejutkan,,

"PSM UGM lolos semi final, besok pagi nyanyi di final"

woooooooooooooo,,,, beneran nii??
astagaaaaaaaa,, aku nggak nyangka banget dehh,,
masa PSM UGM bisa lolos final sii??

tapii sepertinya perjuangan belom berakhir disini saja dehh...

masih ada hari esok, n it's mean that harus nyanyi lagi dengan lagu yang sama ditambah satu lagu pop pilihan,,


SEMANGAT!!!!!! (walo masihh terbaring di tempat tidur, tapi aku berdoa sama Tuhan biar besok pagi bisa ikutan nyanyi)


keesokan harinya, entah kenapa aku ngrasa agag gga bersemangat mengikuti lomba final ini,, nggak tau juga nii firasatku jelek banget,, kayaknya bakalan terjadi hal yg buruk dehh,,,, tp gga tau apa,,

pas di atas panggungpun aku nggak ngrasain gregetnya nyanyi seperti tempo hari,,

ada apakah ini???

setelah selese final sesi pertama, rombongan balik ke wisma, trus jam 1 harus ke tempet lomba (di ITB) lagi coz mas wisnu (pelatihku) nyuruh kami buat nonton sesi 2, coz ada Unpad n UI yg mau tampil,,

pas UI tampil, wooooo gerakannya rapi banget,, penontonpun bersorak riuh,,, rameee banget sambutan penonton,,
then pas Unpad tampil,,, weee,e,,ee,eeee,,, jangan ditanya lagi euy,,
dari awal mereka nginjekin kaki ke panggungpun semua penonton ngeploki a.k.a tepuk tangan riuuuuhhh banget,,, nggak berhenti2 tepuk tangannya,,
then, pas mereka ngakhiri lagu terakhir absolutely (becak, lagu daerah sunda), standing applause dimana2,, plokkkk,,,plokkkkk,,ploooooookkkk,,, smuaaa penonton berdiri n tepuk tangan bener2 gga berhenti2 deh,,

wuaaaaaaaaaaaaa,,,, UNPAD bagussssssssssssss bangettttttttt,,,,,,,,

firasatku mengatakan Unpad bakalan jadi nomor satuu nii,,,

ehh ternyata ohh ternyata pas pengumuman tuuuu emang beneran Unpad yang MENANG,, wooooooooo,,, firasatku bener lohh,,
truss PSM UGM gag menang,, (yaaa firasatku sekali lagi membuktikan kebenarannya)

tapi ntah kenapa aku nggak kecewa sedikitpun, karena aku pikir, yaa inilah kapasitas yang kami miliki (PSM UGM), dan ini emang bukan Vocalista Angels Choir yang sering menang otuu lohh (ahaaaa,, sedikit menyombongkan diri bolehlah) wkwkkwkwkwkkkkk,,,
dari sini aku belajar bahwa kita masih harus belajar menerima kekalahan, mungkin inilah proses untuk menjadi jawara,, yeahhh that's true,,, ^_^

okelah,, setelah ituu saatnya piknik,,
rencana semula beli oleh2 ke kartikasari dilanjutkan shopping n jalan2 ke ciwalk,,,
tapi karena ujan mengguyur kota bandung nggak berhenti2, dan ditambah ada beberapa temen kami yang menghilang entah kemana (coz mereka shopping duluan ke Factory outlet yg mereka sukai), finnaly kami se-bis harus menunggu mereka,, tp mereka nggak kunjung tiba, alhasil kami ninggal mereka,, "biarlah mereka nyusul ke kartikasari" (kata salah satu official kami yang bernama mbak vidyahana sinaga)

lalu tibalah di kartikasari, aku beli kue bollen 3 kotak n garlic bread,, cuma ituu aja, nggak lebih,, lha aku bingung mau beli apa og,,

then jalan2 ke pasar baru (nggak jadi ke ciwalk), di pasar baru aku beli t-shirt bwat adek2ku n pacarku tersayank,, beli jaket bwat adekku n akuu,, beli dress bwat akuu,, hehehhehhee,,, yoo pokoke blanja2 disanalahh,,,

akhirnya tak terasa sudah malam, harus kembali ke bis dan melanjutkan perjalanan ke Jogja,,,

nanannannannanaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,,,,,,,,,

di bis aku nggak bisa bobok, lha yg duudk disampingku ki izzad je, sii arfi malah pindah ke belakang sm dani,, gek padahal izzad n aku kan punya badan yang subur2 n bongsor,, gek sepanjang perjalanan ki izzad ngorok je,, huhhhhuhhuuuuuu,,,
what a terrible condition,,

finnaly, jam 4 dini hari sampelah di kampus UGM tercintaaaaaaaaaaa,,,
aku di jemput ibuk n mbak priska,,

sampe rumah langsung bobok, trus jam 11 siang ngampus,, ehhh dosennya malah nggak dateng,, huhuhhhuuu,,
gpp lah,, yg penting bisa ketemu temen2 kampus n makan oleh2 dari akuu,,
ahaaaaaaaaaaa,,,,

hari ini saia mau pergi ke bandung lohh,,
lebih tepatnya ntar malem sii,,
kali ini ke bandung dalam rangka lomba paduan suara mahasiswa tingkat nasional,, yang nyelenggarain Direktorat Pendidikan Nasional,, hehhehe,, lombanya di ITB (kalo nggak salah),,

huaaaa,,, musim ujan nii,, saat ini pun ketika saia sedang menggoreskan tinta di layar monitor ini juga lagi ujan deres banget,, lha tadi pas pulang kuliah menuju prambanan juga keujanan,, hufffttt,,
tp tak apa2, ujan tak menyurutkan niatku untuk berkelana ke bandung,, hihihihihiii

ntar ke bandungnya naek bus sama anak2 PSM UGM, ntar aku duduk sama sapa ya?? hihhihihii,, smoga aja ntar di dalem bus nggak kedinginan dehh,, coz pengalamanku setiap naek bus AC pasti kedinginan, emmm berarti ntar aku harus bawa jaket tebel, syal, sepatu, kaos kaki, dll. hehhehee..

anyway, Mohon doanya yaa teman2.. doakan agar saia nggak sakit disana, agar suara saia nggak serak n bisa bunyi, agar lombanya berjalan lancar, agar bisa jalan2 n shoping (itu yg penting) ahhahahhaa...

yaaa baru kali ini aku mau ikut lomba paduan suara selain sama Vocalista Angels, smoga aja aku bisa ngrasa nyaman lah,,
smoga aja smuanya berjalan seperti apa yg seharusnya terjadi,, ceilee,,, hihihhihiiii,,,

emm,, sebenernya nggak berharap menang n menggondol medali ataupun piala sii, coz saingannya berat2 euy,, ahhahhahaa..
ahh yang penting udah bernyanyi dengan maksimal lahh,,
serahin smua ke tangan Tuhan Yesus Kristus ^_^

saia belom packing nii (edyann,, padahal sekarang udah jam 2, ntar disuruh ngumpul di sekre jam 4),, hoaaaaahhhhh,,, smoga aja saia nggak ketinggalan bus,, wekkekekkekekkkk,,,

KONSER PSM UGM # part 2

PUJI TUHAN konser taunan PSM UGM kali ini bisa berjalan (cukup) lancar dan (sangat) sukses,,,
walopun awal2 sesi 1 sempet (agag) gag memuaskan,, tapi pas sesi 2 lumayan bisa menggebrak penonton,,,

apalagi pas lagu pamungkas "nyanyian negriku",, wowww,,, standing applause around TBY bok,,,
gilakk,, baru kali ini ngrasain konser gede gini,,, hehehhehe,,, pake orkes gede pula,,
hiihihihii,,

hufftt,,, pengen konser lagi nii,,
ahaaaaa,,, sebenernya ada niat terselubung sii,, pengennya konser lagi n pake orkes, trus pemaen orkesnya tetep sama kayak konser PSM UGM kemaren ituu,, hehehhehhe,,
^ngarep banget^

hahahhahha,,
aduwhhh,,, jadi inget saat2 latian bwat KT,,

latian everyday di ISI Jogja, boncengan motor sama riphan, ban motorku bocor, harus pulang ke prambanan n sampe prambanan biasanya di atas jam 10 malem,, hufftt,, gek ring road selatan ki HORORR banget je,, dalane nggilani n njijiki banget pokoke,,

anyway, lagu2 yg aku suka pas KT tu :
1. Nyanyian negriku : uapikkk tenan og medley di nyanyian negriku,,, apalagi didukung orkes yg keren pula,, jadi tambah keren banget dehh, hehhehe,,, 4 thumbs-up 4 this song,, hihihhii

2. medley lampung : lagune meloww banget,, aku suka pokoke,,,

3. as long as i have music : lagu wajib e PSM UGM, apikk ki lagu,, tp sampe sekarang aku lom hapal2,, ahhahahhaa


yaa gitu lah pokoke,,,
